For our Greek Balsam’ extraction we follow a process different to all others used at our Extraction Lab. Within hours after harvesting, Hypericum is covered in virgin olive oil and rests under the sun to dry naturally. This is the first step of the all-natural, zero-waste photo-extraction process that can take up to 11 days, depending on how strong the sun is. We use all parts of the plant -stems, leaves and flowers.

Hypericum or Balsam is considered one of nature’s most potent flowering plants due to its moisturising and emollient properties. The hydrating Greek Balsam oil is further boosted with a blend of nourishing oils and waxes -shea butter, cocoa butter, macadamia and sunflower- and antioxidant vitamin E.

The patterns used for the Lip Balm collection are themes from Greek Folk Art. Focusing on Greek heritage and tradition, themes that are based on nature and love, revealing a world that lived in harmony with nature and represented this in its art. The colors chosen -the white and blue of Greece- are a tribute to the iconic aesthetic of the Aegean. 90% of our packaging across all our product lines is recyclable.
